Castro Marim

A firm favourite of many of our golfers, Castro Marim runs through undulating hills dotted with pines, and breathtaking views across the River Guadiana to neighbouring Spain. The course will appeal to all standards of golfer, the challenge being to navigate the narrow, sloping fairways and small, testing, fast greens. A delightful course in beautiful surroundings, and one of the cheapest on the Algarve – great value! There are 27 holes which gives you the option of different starts and you can play 3 different rounds of 18 holes. Buggy recommended.

Quinta do Vale

This magnificent Seve Ballesteros designed course opened is situated right on the far edge of the Eastern Algarve, offering great panoramic views across the Guadiana River towards Spain. This championship course consists of 6 par 5’s, 6 par 4’s and 6 par 3’s. The front nine has strategically placed water hazards on most holes which makes you think twice about club selection. The back nine, however, differs in character, and is a little more open, as it climbs to the highest point of the course from where the views are stunning. A great challenge to all level of golfers.

Benamor

Designed by Sir Henry Cotton, Benamor was the first course built east of Faro in the Algarve. An attractive, well maintained course, there are views to the Atlantic and Tavira Island to the south and towards the hills and valleys in the north. The front 9 is relatively short and tight, affording good scoring opportunities before the course opens up on the back nine, where more water comes into play. A popular choice for golfers of all standards.

Quinta de Cima

This sister course to Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima is a spectacular course located within the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. There are views of the sea and mountains from anywhere along the course. Many of the holes are dog-legs with their greens are protected by bunkers and water, particularly the last three finishing holes. The main feature of the course is a stream that meanders through the course presenting a hazard from the tees. A great test of golf and enjoyable challenge for most players.

Quinta da Ria sits in a beautiful location on the coast of the Eastern Algarve next to the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, with stunning views over the Ria Formosa estuary. A beautifully maintained course, the delightful front nine provides a comfortable start, but things start to get more challenging on the back, where the fairways lengthen and water appears, testing your accuracy and challenging your card as you come to the end of your round of this lovely course. One of the finest and most popular courses on the Algarve.
