CLOSEST GOLF COURSES

Estela

Lying right next to one of the region’s stunning beaches facing the Atlantic, Estela is a undiscovered gem. The setting of the course is stunning with its narrow fairways, surrounded by numerous sanddunes. Its a classic links course, which is challenging, but not impossible and is regarded as of the best tracks in Portugal. Estela is a story of 2 halves; the front 9 takes you through an undulating landscape, with glorious views of the ocean and the mountains to enjoy. The back 9 is flatter, however the challenge is to avoid the bunkers and manage your round in order to score well.

Amarante

Designed by Jorge Santana da Silva, Amarante has a glorious setting with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. It’s a hilly course, however, it was carefully constructed to keep the climbs to a minimum. Bunkers and lakes protect the greens on several holes and the narrow fairways ensure that you will need every club in your bag. An interesting and relatively undiscovered course that is definitely worth a visit. Buggy recommended.
