Dom Pedro -Laguna

Laguna lies on relatively flat and open terrain, and has a more linksy feel than many of its other parkland neighbours, so provides a interesting change of scene during a golf break to the area. There aren’t many trees on the course’s wide open fairways, but water hazards, strategically placed bunkers and the prevailing wind off the sea provide the challenge. An easy walking course and a fair and testing challenge for all handicap levels.

Dom Pedro – Millennium

The newest of the golf courses in the Vilamoura area, Millennium is an amalgamation of 9 refurbished holes from Laguna combined with 9 new holes; and its arrival has helped Vilamoura to become one of the main golfing destinations in Europe. The front nine feels open with generous greens protected by several water hazards, however the back 9 contrasts nicely, being set amongst stunning pine trees, where the need to keep the ball straight becomes critical. A joy to play, the Millennium Course challenges golfers of all abilities.

Dom Pedro – Old Course

One of the classic courses of the Algarve, Vilamoura Old is often described as the Grande Dame of the Algarve, and is renowned throughout the golfing world. The Vilamoura Old has the character of a traditional British parkland course with magnificent tree lined fairways set on beautifully maintained, softly undulating terrain. The course’s magnificent design and layout, combined with its beautiful scenery make it a “must play” if you are visiting the area.

Dom Pedro – Pinhal

This challenging, beautiful course lies in the middle of a pinewood, from where there’s the occasional view of the distant sea. One of the main characteristics of Pinhal is its narrow fairways and tight greens which are surrounded by well-positioned bunkers and protected by a number of water-hazards. So there’s plenty to keep you thinking about, and precise approach shots are the name of the game here. The course is a fair challenge to all handicaps, and you’ll certainly have to play well to score well.

Dom Pedro – Victoria

An Arnold Palmer designed classic, the Victoria opened in summer 2004. Although essentially a flat course, it is characterised by wide, undulating fairways, with well positioned bunkers and numerous water hazards, meaning that accuracy is key to a good score. Extreme care has been taken to maintain the course’s beautiful natural setting amidst the existing wetland, the carob, olive and almond trees. Victoria is the longest course in Portugal but there are five sets of tees making it suitable and enjoyable for all standards of golfer. The course hosts a PGA tour event each year meaning that it is always maintained to an excellent standard.
