Sana Sesimbra Hotel****

DESCRIPTION

Great value hotel on the beach in the charming resort of Sesimbra, close to Lisbon.

The Sana Sesimbra Hotel enjoys a great position in Sesimbra, a traditional Portuguese seaside resort close to Lisbon, famous for its freshly caught and cooked fish and shellfish, washed down with a local wine or a Superbock beer!

This modern, stylish hotel sits right on the beach overlooking the sea. It has good sized, well furnished rooms and bathrooms and it’s well worth upgrading to a seaview room to enjoy the evening sunsets.

The hotel has a rooftop bar and balcony, from where there are great views, as well as a rooftop swimming pool, which converts to an indoor pool in the winter.

The bars and restaurants of Sesimbra are a short stroll away where you will probably find more locals than foreign tourists as this is very much a Portuguese resort.

There are five excellent golf courses closeby, including the spectacular Troia course and the more traditional and beautifully maintained Quinta da Peru – the local members course.

CLOSEST GOLF COURSES

Estoril

Golf Do Estoril has hosted the Portuguese Open on several occasions and is one of Portugal’s best regarded courses. With wonderful views out towards the Atlantic, this masterpiece of a golf course was designed by Mackenzie Ross, who made good use of the surrounding pine trees and eucalyptuses through which the course is set. Although a relatively short golf course, it demands great accuracy with its uneven terrain and tight fairways and is a joy to play for golfers of all standards.
