Aldeburgh

Opened in 1884, Aldeburgh is the second oldest heathland course in England. The Championship Course at 6,603 yards, but with no par fives on the men’s card, is a substantial challenge for even the best golfer. The SSS off the Blue tees is 73 against a par of 68. It is a beautiful place to play golf. The views of the River Alde and glimpses of the North Sea, grey one day, blue another, are enough to raise the spirits even when the score is not quite up to expectation.
